Hi Martin,

Thanks a lot for giving us your opinion and your vision with us and all our readers about Psonar as CEO and founder of this company. (Really, It’s not often that CEOs speak so plainly)

The business model «Pay per Play» is really interesting especially when the digital society seems to want subscription models (cinema, books, video, music…), but is really sustainable the suscription model? When all the cars have apps like Spotify or Deezer will be profitable with 9,99$? Every time we spend more time listening to music in streaming service and I think the 9,99$ will be not enough.

Now, returning to «Pay per play» I think is a fantastic business model because is the perfect complement between the download and the streaming service. Maybe, in the future, will see into subscription models «pay per Play» with premium contents

Like you said: «Psonar is much better value for money and you only pay for what you listen to» I totally agree.

We don’t know the answer to whether Psonar pays out more to artists better than Spotify or Deezer, but we do have a transparent tariff that is the same for all labels and distributors.
You’re quite right to say that for someone streaming more than 2 hours per day – music aficionados – Spotify or Deezer would be cheaper but for the vast majority of fans who listen to radio and their own music as well, Psonar is much better value for money and you only pay for what you listen to.
